Shining

Poem by Jan Cronos

A beam of bright
a rod of light
there is a floral construction
like glassy igloos in pallid winter
there are huts of flaming shimmer
blooming petals that glimmer
in the heat of the night
when cool water thirst quenches
and we sprawl on park benches
to take in the radiance
of Sol’s streaming might.
