Loneliness

When I look for connection
As I do every day
I feel so abandoned
When they all turn away

Never among them
Not quite fitting in
Stuck on the outside
Not knowing my sin

Like a bird in a fish tank
A fish in the sky
The whole situation
Makes me want to cry

Hand in my pocket
But no message on my phone
I can’t help but realise
I’m completely alone
