A Timeless Virtue

“Acknowledging the good that you already have in your life, is the foundation for all abundance.”

 — Eckhart Tolle
Look around you,
Can you see everything? If not,
Just close your eyes,
Can you feel all,
Those myriad wonders everywhere?

The air we breathe,
The cold refreshing raindrops,
The heavenly rays of the sun,
The sweet, cheerful warbling of birds
Or simply feel your deep, relaxed breaths.

Or the sheer delight of your pup’s little waggle
Or your kitty’s meowing as loud as a lion’s roar
But most of all,
The eager, distinct cries of your adorable baby
In the early morn.

Don't you at least realize?
You are the luckiest creature on earth,
Because you have your whole senses,
For all of these gifts, and this precious day,
Be grateful always, and you’ll be happy.
